MEET THE MAKER

Ana O. is the owner and creator of Almost HOME.  She resides in a cozy white farmhouse in the Midwest with her husband and 2 sons. Ana has a deep appreciation for nature, and is continually learning about the use of plants in healing - both physical and emotional. She believes that God's gift of nature is to be cherished, studied and applied for ones' own healing and the healing of those around. During a dark time of grief, the art of soap-making and nature study have become an outlet of joy and hope for Ana, which she hopes to share with others. The idea of Almost HOME began with the simple desire to share encouragement with every person getting one of our products. Perhaps the thought of eternity being not so far away after all could make today's problems, worries and sorrows feel a little less overpowering...

Ana believes that besides bringing beauty and awe, skin-care products should be healthful and nourishing. She therefore focuses on creating products with the purest ingredients, that can be safely enjoyed by all. 

 Each soap is carefully handcrafted using the cold process method with the purest ingredients from the earth. Almost HOME soaps contain natural skin-loving vegetable oils, herbs, clays and therapeutic grade essential oils. They are lovingly hand-poured in small batches and each bar is then carefully wrapped after it has cured for at least 4 weeks. 

The name Almost HOME was inspired by Hebrews 11:16:

"..now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared them a city".
